I built this Coffin for my dad with the help of a friend from church and thought others might be interested. Doing it seemed a little strange but by the time I was finished I wondered why it was not done more often. When I finished I wanted to transport my fathers body back home , about a 2 hour drive and with the help of my brother obtained all the proper permits. People in general were quite helpful after they got use to the idea, the Sacremento office of vital statistics had a very nice clerk who walked me through it. Anyway wood is my thing. lar
